I'm a real human who has sat in the client's chair, the student's chair, and now the supervisor's chair. That perspective shapes everything I do.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with a Master's degree, a Registered Play Therapist, and a Master-trained Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) clinician, licensed in both Texas and Colorado.
For more than 22 years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside children, teens, adults, couples, and families as they navigate life's challenges. I especially enjoy helping children, teens, adults, and families who are navigating anxiety, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, and relationship challenges while discovering their own resilience along the way.
From helping little ones understand big emotions to supporting adults as they heal from trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, and life's unexpected detours, I've learned that every person has a story worth hearing and strengths waiting to be rediscovered.
Helping others has always been part of who I am. Long before it became my profession, I found myself being the person friends, neighbors, and community members turned to for support. What started as a passion in my teenage years grew into a calling, and decades later, I still wake up grateful that this is the work I get to do every day.
Creativity has been woven into my life for as long as I can remember. My parents nurtured my love of art from an early age, filling my childhood with summer art camps, creative classes, and countless trips to craft stores. If there was a new medium to explore or a project to create, I couldn't wait to dive in. Those experiences taught me far more than artistic skills. They taught me curiosity, patience, resilience, and the joy of discovering that the process is often just as meaningful as the finished piece.
Today, that philosophy shapes both my therapy practice and the art experiences I create for others. Whether we're painting, building, creating, or simply talking, I believe growth happens during the journey, not just at the destination. Art has a unique way of helping us express feelings that words sometimes can't reach, discover new perspectives, and build confidence along the way. While creating something beautiful is certainly a bonus, the real masterpiece is the healing, resilience, and self-discovery that happen in the process.
My approach to therapy is genuine, collaborative, and personalized. I believe healing isn't one-size-fits-all, so I draw from evidence-based therapies, play therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), art, creativity, humor, and authentic connection to meet each client where they are. Sometimes healing looks like a meaningful conversation. Sometimes it looks like a paintbrush, a game, or learning a new skill. Together, we'll discover the path that fits you best.
What is it like to work with me? I believe the best therapy happens when you feel comfortable enough to be yourself. My office is a place where you can laugh, cry, sit quietly, create something with your hands, or simply take a deep breath after carrying life's challenges for far too long. There is no expectation to have all the answers before you walk through my door. That's what we're here to discover together.
Clients often tell me they appreciate that I balance compassion with honesty. I'll celebrate your victories, gently challenge the patterns that no longer serve you, and encourage you as you continue to grow. Therapy isn't about "fixing" you because I don't believe you're broken. It's about helping you recognize your strengths, build resilience, and create a life that feels more peaceful, connected, and fulfilling.
Every client is unique, which is why I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Some sessions are filled with meaningful conversation, while others include art, play, creative activities, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), or practical tools you can begin using right away. Whatever brings you to therapy, my hope is that you'll leave each session feeling heard, supported, and empowered.
When I'm not in the therapy office or leading an art class, you'll usually find me spending time with my family and friends in the Sugar Land area. I'm a lifelong reader who can happily lose track of time in a good book, wandering through an art museum, or discovering a local art festival. My emotional support sidekick, Biz, and I also love exploring dog parks and soaking up any excuse to be outdoors.
I'm equally happy cheering at a baseball game, discovering a favorite local spot with friends, walking along a quiet beach, hiking through a forest, or planning my next travel adventure. I believe new experiences, creativity, and meaningful connections help us continue growing throughout our lives, and I try to carry that same spirit into both my personal life and my work.
Giving back to my community has always been important to me, so you'll often find me volunteering with local organizations, supporting charitable events, and looking for ways to make someone's day a little brighter. I truly believe kindness is one of the simplest and most powerful gifts we can offer one another. It doesn't cost a thing, but it can change everything.
Whether we're creating with paint, talking through life's challenges, celebrating small victories, or welcoming Biz into the session for a little extra comfort, my goal is simple: to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered to create a life that feels authentic, connected, and full of hope.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. Reaching out for support takes courage, and finding the right therapist is an important decision. Wherever you are in your journey, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
I don't believe in supervision that feels like an evaluation or therapy that feels clinical and cold. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship — whether between client and therapist, or supervisee and supervisor — is the most powerful tool we have.
I show up as myself, and I invite you to do the same. No pretense, no performance — just honest, growth-oriented work.
I draw from ART, play therapy, and a range of evidence-based modalities — meeting each client and supervisee where they are.
Mistakes are part of learning. I create an environment where you can ask the questions you're afraid to ask and try things without fear of judgment.
I see the full picture — not just the presenting problem or the case note. People are complex, and I honor that complexity.
Whether you're looking for supervision, therapy, or an ESA letter — I'd love to connect.
